Sandy Beaches and Turquoise Waters
As you can see in the image above*, the Limni Links runs along a fairly substantial stretch of coastline. To be exact, the resort's coastline stretches for upwards of 750 metres, and incorporates its own 150 metre pier. This pier, which is currently (Sep. 2010) being restored, will form the heart of the Limni Beach Club, a water sports leisure facility which is yet another facet of the overall resort.
And what's more, Limni beach is a sandy one, unlike a lot of others along the west and north coasts of Cyprus.
But back to the golf course, which starts a few yards inland, just across the main coastal road into the resort. Here, a pair of fairways overlook not only the exclusive beach club, but also offer amazing views of the turquoise Mediterranean waters, and the Akamas Peninsula in the distance. |

The Limni Golf Resort Earthworks
From the beach, this project stretches inland across the coastal plain for well over a mile and half before meeting its 'counterpart', the Mountain Resort.
The images to the left and below, taken from the hillside adjoining the Limni Golf Resort, show the massive earthworks currently underway to prepare the ground to receive Jack Nicklaus' course once construction gets underway at the start of 2011. They also provide a much better idea of the resort's fabulous location, and the stunning views afforded by this area. |
Once complete at the end of 2012, the Nicklaus signature golf course will stretch throughout much of the resort's grounds, its tees, fairways and greens spaced generously to lend a feeling of spacious luxury to a resort which is sure to become the flagship of Cyprus' golf courses.

Aside from the superb 18-hole course, the resort will also feature its own clubhouse, a golf academy, driving range, practice greens, a pro-shop, and a resident PGA professional.
But Limni's facilities do not end there. As previously mentioned it will include a fully featured beach club and water sports centre, as well as football and tennis academies. A 5-star hotel and conference centre 'of a globally recognised brand', a sumptuous spa and wellness centre, restaurants, bars, and a small, highly exclusive retail development will round off the resort's luxurious facilities around the Limni Beach Resort clubhouse.
It is perhaps needless to say that Limni will also feature a sizable residential development, with approximately three hundred and fifty to five hundred homes being constructed adjacent to its fairways. These homes, which have not yet been released for sale, are widely anticipated as being some of the most exclusive golf properties in Cyprus.
