Work is well underway on the restoration of the old Limni Mine Pier, a one hundred and fifty metre
jetty which was once used to ship out copper and iron sulphide from the site. Renovation works are set to be complete at the end of 2010, and once the resort is opened this pier will be at the heart of Limni's beach club and water sports facility. |

The following is the provisional schdule of works for the Limni Golf Resort
Works Schedule for Limni Beach Resort
- 2007
The Limni Golf Resort Masterplan was submitted for approval to the relevant authorities
- 2008
The removal of fixtures and the environmental resortation of the Limni Mine grounds begins
- 2010
The construction permit for
the golf course is issued in April.
Completion of the environmental restoration and land preparation process is schduled for the end of the year.
The construction of the first parts of the project's infrastructure, such as access roads and pathways is set to commence at the year's end.
- 2010/2011
Construction of the golf course is scheduled to begin at the end of 2010 or the beginning of 2011.
Construction is scheduled to begin on the hotel grounds
at the end of 2010 or the beginning of 2011.
- 2012
Construction is scheduled to begin on the resort's spa & wellness centre, as well as its retail village, cafes, restaurants and beach club.
Development is set to commence on the resort's exclusive golf properties.
The Limni Beach Golf Course is set to open towards the end of the year.
- 2012 - 2018
The sale and development
of homes at the Limni Beach Golf Resort is projected to continue during this period.
- 2013
The resort's ancillary
amenities and facilities (beach club, cafes, etc.) are scheduled to commence opening during the course of the year.
The Resort's 5-star hotel is scheduled to open during the course of the year.

Elea Golf Resort
While Limni Golf Resort is only in the early stages of construction, there is one 18-hole signature venue in Cyprus which has already reached completion.
The Elea Golf Resort, at Agia Marinaouda outside Paphos, is the first of Cyprus' new golf courses to be finished. With the grand opening by the course's designer, Sir Nick Faldo, scheduled for October 17th, the time is finally at hand for the Republic of Cyprus to begin gaining recognition as an international golfing destination.
