Pissouri
Village on the west coast
The village of Pissouri featuring
a rugged and sometimes spectacular coastline, plays
host to a large number of festivals each year.
With sultana grapes covering the surrounding countryside,
this is one of the principal wine growing regions
of Cyprus. To the north of the village, one can see
the majestic Troodos
Mountains and to the south and
east there are panoramic views of the coast, across
vineyards, carob and olive trees.
Pissouri village holds a Cyprus Night every Wednesday
evening in the square during the summer months, with
traditional dancing and food for all. One of the most
famous natural monuments in Cyprus, Aphrodite's Rock
(or Petra Tou Romiou) is located close to the community.
Pissouri village with its lovely flower filled central
square has all the usual amenities including a Greek
Orthodox Church, shops, bakery and banks and in addition
has several family run restaurants and tavernas serving
superb food.
The resorts of Limassol and Paphos are only a thirty
minute drive away from the village and some of Cyprus’
most famous historical sites are within easy driving
distance. |
Golf
near Pissouri Village
It is just a short journey to the well known Secret
Valley Golf and Country Club and the Aphrodite Hills golf course,
making it an ideal base for golfing fanatics.
Pissouri Beach has a mixture of sand and pebbles at the north end
of the beach and sand at the south. It carries the
EU blue flag for cleanliness, with safe swimming and
a beautiful unspoiled bay. Available with a life guard
on duty are jet skiing, wind surfing, snorkeling,
sailing, paragliding, a banana boat and water-skiing.

its easy access to the Paphos International Airport,
which is only 25 minutes away, its peacefulness, incredible
